YOUR INFORMATION, EXPLAINED

Privacy policy

This policy explains how Neruvi handles personal information when you use our website and travel coordination service.

Effective and last updated: 7 October 2026.

1. Who is responsible

Neruvi is operated by Bruno Pina, who is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact hello@neruvi.app for privacy questions or requests. This policy covers Neruvi at neruvi.app and its connected app experience.

2. Information we process

Support correspondence and deletion or privacy requestsAnswer questions, verify ownership and carry out requests.

The matching experience uses broad travel areas, not a public feed of precise live locations. Exact details you choose to put in a conversation are still personal information: share them carefully.

3. How information is used

We use information to provide the features you request, maintain your account, suggest compatible travel intentions, manage participant access, support you, investigate safety concerns and maintain service security. Matching suggestions assist your choice; they do not book transport or require you to accept an introduction.

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, the relevant bases are performance of the service agreement for account and coordination features; legitimate interests for proportionate security, abuse prevention and support; compliance with legal obligations where required; and consent where an optional feature requires it. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing.

4. Who receives information

Other eligible travellers can receive the limited profile and travel-intention information needed for a suggested match or introduction. Accepted conversation participants and accepted pod members can access information shared in that conversation or pod, subject to access and lifecycle controls. Reports are not a public traveller directory.

Neruvi uses Supabase for authentication and database services and Vercel for website hosting and delivery. Email delivery and support services process the information needed to send account messages or answer your request. Service providers process data as needed to supply those services. Authorized support or safety personnel may access relevant information for a specific support or safety purpose.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address a serious safety or security concern. We do not sell your personal information or use private coordination messages for targeted advertising.

5. Storage, international processing and security

Hosting and service providers may process information in countries different from yours. Applicable transfer protections, including contractual safeguards where required, apply to provider processing. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your request.

We use HTTPS, authentication and access controls to protect data. Participant access is limited by membership and the state of the relevant workflow. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your sign-in details private and report security concerns to security@neruvi.app.

6. Cookies, local storage and analytics

Authentication cookies and related browser storage support sign-in and session security. Essential technical information also supports website delivery. Blocking essential storage may prevent signed-in features from working.

The public website uses Google Analytics for Firebaseonly when you choose to allow optional analytics. Analytics helps us understand aggregate website traffic, page views and interactions such as opening Neruvi, changing language, reading Journal pages or using a contact link. We do not intentionally send private travel intentions, conversation content, precise live locations, email addresses or phone numbers to analytics.

Your analytics choice is stored in your browser. If you choose "Essential only", Firebase Analytics collection is not enabled. You can clear the site's local storage to be asked for the choice again. Neruvi does not use the analytics data for targeted advertising.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain account and coordination information while needed to provide the service, and limited records where needed for safety, security, disputes or legal obligations. Closing a workflow ends the relevant participant access; it does not always erase its records immediately.

  • The current retention process anonymizes message content and removes sender identifiers in closed or expired direct conversations and closed pods after 90 days.
  • Message evidence linked to an active safety report is held while needed for the case.
  • Expired match cards older than one day are deleted when not referenced by an introduction or active report.
  • Account deletion removes direct profile and contact details, ends coordination access and disconnects your sign-in. Limited restricted safety and audit evidence can remain where necessary.

Other records are kept for the purpose for which they are needed rather than indefinitely by default. Legal holds or active investigations may extend retention of relevant records. Provider backups may retain protected copies until their normal backup lifecycle completes. For information about a particular category or record, contact us.

8. Your choices and rights

You can update your information, cancel a travel intention, decline an introduction, leave a pod, block a participant and request account deletion. Depending on the law that applies, you may also request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. Email hello@neruvi.app. We may verify your identity and respond within the applicable legal timeframe.

To delete your account, open Account and confirm deletion, or use the email route on our account-deletion page. You can make that request without installing the app. You may complain to your local data-protection authority, including the Portuguese Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados or the UK Information Commissioner's Office, where applicable.

9. Adults only

Neruvi is intended for people aged 18 and over. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information to Neruvi, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Changes and contact

We will update this page when practices change and update the date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Send privacy questions to hello@neruvi.app.
